This project was shaped through collaboration with local architects, skaters, and members of the San Carlos Apache tribe. Prior to construction, a community-led groundbreaking ceremony brought together tribal leadership, families, and residents to mark the beginning of the project. Our team attended in support, answering questions and discussing the construction process with community members.

Building on the reservation required working within established tribal processes and expectations, reinforcing the importance of accountability and respect throughout the project. The finished park reflects a shared effort to create a durable, welcoming space designed for everyday use by the community it serves.
