lan-oak park plaza skatepark

Built in the center of downtown Lansing, Lan-Oak Park Plaza Skatepark transformed a former commercial site into a compact public skate space designed for everyday community use. Located between roadways in the heart of town, the park creates a highly visible and accessible space that naturally integrates into the surrounding downtown environment.

Constructed in support of Pivot Customs, the project features a tight, efficient layout designed to maximize the available footprint while still offering a variety of street-oriented skating features. Despite frequent rain throughout construction, the project moved forward steadily and was completed efficiently in the 2023 season.

The finished park now serves as a unique addition to the downtown corridor - turning an underused space into an active public gathering area for local skaters and visitors alike.
